Find a Node - Use these links to navigate to any of the 8 publicly accessible PDS Nodes.

This bar indicates that you are within the PDS enterprise which includes 6 science discipline nodes and 2 support nodes which are overseen by the Project Management Office at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Each node is led by an expert in the subject discipline, supported by an advisory group of other practitioners of that discipline, and subject to selection and approval under a regular NASA Research Announcement.

Asteroid X-ray/Gamma-ray/Neutron Data

These data sets contain nuclear observations which are made using some speciality spectrometers that detect interactions of highly energetic particles. These can be an X-ray spectrometer that measures X-rays that are emitted from the surface. Another one is a neutron spectrometer, which detects different energy states of neutrons that are created when cosmic rays impact the surface. Detailed analysis can separate particles, atoms, and molecules by their mass, momentum, or energy. Data from these observations can be used to determine chemical composition and abundance.
